Keenage Khorale Volunteer Opportunities
The Keenage Khorale (senior adult choir) practices every Wednesday from 9:30 a.m. to 10:30 a.m. at South Park. Ministry opportunities, at area nursing homes and assisted living homes for the elderly, sharing favorite hymns, are planned monthly. The choir also sings favorite Christmas carols and vintage secular Christmas songs at the “Olde Depot”, nursing homes and assisted living homes weekly in December.
Kids Beach Club Volunteer Opportunities
Kids Beach Club has volunteers who work with children at two clubs during the school year. Hood-Case meets on Tuesdays from 3:10-4:25 pm and serves children grades 3-5, while Harby meets on Thursdays from 4-5 pm and serves youth grades 6-7. No teaching experience is necessary. New volunteers are paired with experienced ones, so they can feel at ease and learn the ropes.
Prayer warriors, know as "Lifeguards", are also vital. They commit to pray for a specific team of 8-10 children. Team leaders keep in contact with the Lifeguards, sharing children's prayer requests as well as general requests
Tech Team Volunteer Opportunities
If you’re a member of South Park who’s interested in serving on the Worship Team behind the scenes, then the Tech Team could be the place for you. Whether you’re already an expert on a soundboard or a computer novice who’s willing to be trained, we’d love to get you plugged in!
Welcome Team Volunteer Opportunities
The South Park Welcome Team volunteers serve in three areas:
Greeters offer a firm handshake and a friendly smile to all who enter South Park's doors. They also pass out bulletins and guide visitors.
The Parking Lot Team Members are the friendly faces in green vests who help direct visitors, open doors and help people in and out of their vehicles. During worship, they also act as our security team.
